This book was everything that I thought it would be and more. I got to see more of the real Quantum. I also got to know some of the other players a little better, which made the story all the more exciting. Before reading this book, I went back and reread the first three. I've read so many books in between them, and Reapers and Repercussions, that I needed a refresher. I was really glad that I did, I think that made this book all the more enjoyable. And you've gotta look for the little surprises that Mr. Cooper has thrown into this book. Some that I came across still have me laughing everytime that I think about them. Made me look at Mr. Cooper a little differently too. For anyone that hasn't read the first three books, please start there. You have no idea what you're missing. I have to put my big girl panties on and just wait for the next book. It's going to be hard, but I'll do it.On another note, CONGRATULATIONS on the wedding!

"Reapers and Repercussions" is the 4th book in the 'Feedback Loop' series by Harmon Cooper (Author), George C. Hopkins (Editor).

General Theme (minor spoilers)...
Book 4 continues to follow Quantum Hughes and his motley crew of hackers, wheezers and computer addicted RPG (role playing game) associates. This time they must attempt to rescue the son of Quantum's greatest threat and enemy.
Some thoughts on "Reapers and Repercussions"...
1.) well written... easy to read prose with few, if any, grammar or spelling mistakes.
2.) pace and timing was spot on... some thrilling and intense encounters that were placed between scenes of dialogue and some witty repartee, making for a nice blend between action events and character building.
3.) character development... again as with previous books in this series, Quantum is the main man and all action and interaction revolves around him. Other characters are developed with a slightly lesser degree of personality than him, but the story unfolds quite naturally on its own within these parameters.
4.) the RPG theme... as with the last book, much of the story in based around a quest that involves elements of a turn-based, RPG... leveling up, and with it new skills and weapons, and bigger and badder enemies. Any reader with RPG experience will appreciate the thrill of 'gaining that elusive next level'.
5.) and last but not least... humor. This book, because for our hero's personality, had many funny moments; there were several instances where I found myself laughing out loud.
Impressions
Quantum is the perfect hero for this sci-fi RPG adventure; I found it hard not to visualize him in computer game of the same genre... a larger than life action figure with no shortage of moxie and bravado. A wannabe figure for all males, an annoying know-it-all for most of his female role playing partners.
Any reader that has grown up playing computer games and more specifically, RPGs will probably identify with the type of story found here. And will probably enjoy it as much as I did.

I've read 4 books in 48 and. Ordering the next at 245AM. They are that good. Don't miss the ride.
Action is on point. The comedy is hilarious. The story is engaging. I recommend giving the series a try, you won't regret it.
OMG!! This is such a fantastic book and I'm not done with it yet. There are some hilarious 'attacks' that are really a kick in the pants. I am going to have to buy the next book soon.
I finished and am moving on to the 5th book.
This is a story that expand on the Tritania world and the Dream Team's mission to capture/rescue Strata Godsick's son. The protagonist (Quantum Hughes) is still suffering PTSD from his 2/8 years trapped in the Loop but this adds an overall grunge to the story that really helps me identify with him. This is just a fun book and the contact you have with the author through the marketplace or his website is surreal. For those of you who haven't had a chance to delve into the Unlimited library... do so at your own risk. The number of excellent, burgeoning artists who enjoy working with their customers/fans is truly outstanding. If you love video games; love westerns, sci-fi, fantasy and spy thrillers; love being behind the wheel of a truly fun character - this book is for you.
I'd give the story 5 stars but the technical aspects of the writing (grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc) show the lack of professional editorship... not that I could do better! I think once these stories go through the next re-print the vexing grammatical missteps will be a thing of the past!
